    Social Networking  101 – wellness36 Style

I am simply amazed by the number of new members every day both joining the wellness360 Community and more importantly, taking advantage of our suite of free services:

    • Diet diary
    • Exercise Diary
    • Health Risk Analysis
    • Personal Health Record
    • Long-term Paper Medical Records Storage, and
    • er360 – wellness360’s free “Emergency Medical Record”

The flood of comments and encouragement are greatly appreciated.  This evening, however, I wanted to take a moment to stress the importance of the wellness360 Community Social Network.

Today, people across the globe are demonstrating the desire to expand their social connections through the growing options of online social network.  I certainly applaud every vendor of these services.  However, I feel compelled to ensure that each of our existing members and future members understand that not only is wellness360 Community a network for social interaction, it is a vehicle that enables you do so based on an amazing collection of characteristics.

Unlike other networks that attempt to derive relationships by prying into your writings and the music you enjoy, wellness360 Community allows connections to be made based on detailed, YET PRIVIATE, medical, diet, exercise and family information that makes up your wellness360 Personal Health Record.  As I mentioned, this information is kept private and we guarantee it with our $1 Million guarantee.

So, what’s the value of the wellness360 Community?  The answer is simple.  You will be allowed to define the types of individuals with whom you desire to establish a connection literally based on an infinite number of personal data and characteristics contained within an individual’s personal profile and personal Health Record.  PLEASE REMEMBER, ALL PERSONAL INFORMATION IS KEPT PRIVATE AND SECURE UNLESS YOU CHOOSE TO SHARE IT.

Let’s look at a simple example.
    Assumptions:
For the sake of this example, let's assume that you are (1) a female, (2) over 45 that is diabetic, (3) 50 pounds overweight, (4) have children under the age of 15, (5) work a full-time job, and (6) live in Costa Mesa California

Your Objectives: Your goal is to find a group of woman that are similar to you so that you can develop an exercise support group of women that share common challenges, and even need to solve a child-care problem to enable all of you the time to exercise and support one another with your medical and dietary issues.  Additionally, you would like to interact with these people online to discuss challenges, physicians and even just build friendships.  Oh, and you want them to be no more than 10 miles away for convenience.

The Solution: wellness360 Community enables you to define this group of people and at your discretion, make not just online connections but possibly “real-world” friendships to help each other.  I assure you, to develop this level of networking on myspace.com, facebook.com, and linkedin.com would not be easy.  But, with wellness360 Community it is part of our fundamental design.

The Bonus: Oh, least we forget, that as a part of wellness360, you are paid for developing and maintaining your social network.  Additionally, your friends that view your pages and read your blogs also enjoy the wellness360 cash rewards.

Please don't forget, a great benefit of wellness360 is our "Invite a Friend" program.  For each friend you invite that joins wellness360 you share in the money they earn – TOTALLY RISK FREE!  To earn money as a wellness360 member you never have to pay one penny or purchase any products.  Our advertisers happily carry this burden to enable you to have the best experience possible and encourage you to be healthy.

Thank you for taking the time to read this evenings thoughts and l hope you ook for my next entry:

Introduction to wellness360 and Aperture Health, Inc.

I am Thomas Banks, the CEO and founder of Aperture Health. I am honored that you have chosen to join us here at wellness360 Community and more specifically, my inaugural blog.

Many people I speak with have a number of questions regarding the wellness360 business model. Please allow me the opportunity to explain our business model:

Where do we get the money to pay our members? This is the most common question I receive. The answer is incredibly simple – our advertisers. Unlike most Internet business models, we share a portion of our on-line revenue with our members. Based on the income we enjoy from a page view caused by a specific member’s use of wellness360, we pay that member 33% of the gross income.   This revenue sharing concept is fundamental to our business plan and is unique among health and wellness sites.

Invite a Friend? This is one of wellness360’s most exciting components. First, it is the initial link for developing your social network. More importantly, it creates a “No Obligation” income stream where the member earns a 25% bonus for every dollar earned by their friends.

What about privacy? Unlike most web sites that provide storage and retrieval of an individual’s personal health record (“PHR”) we are voluntarily HIPAA compliant. Further ensuring privacy, as a California based company we are governed by Statute 56 of California’s Confidentiality of Medical Information Act (“COMIA”) which exposes Aperture Health and its management to sever civil and criminal penalties for any violation.

What is the Million Dollar Guarantee? We guarantee every member up to $1 million in the event that we or our technology exposes their medical information to any third-party. This guarantee is not just a promise, but backed by a $1 million insurance policy.

What services are provided by wellness360.com? Aperture Health’s wellness360 service incorporates a great number of services typically enjoyed from a number of websites for which the user is charged a monthly fee. All wellness360 services are provided “Free of Charge.”   Members are not charged to use the services, nor is there any upgrade or premium option available to our members. All the services are free. The services available to our members include:
    • Personal Health Record: a comprehensive personal medical record which allows a member to track relevant data such as blood cholesterol, blood glucose as well as historical and family specific medical information.
    • Health Risk Assessment: We at Aperture Health believe that members should not simply jump into a wellness strategy without information. Toward this end, each member is encouraged to take a simple 40 question Health Risk Assessment evaluating medical, social, lifestyle and genetic risks they face. In turn, members are encouraged to consult with their healthcare professional to plan a viable strategy toward a healthy and enjoyable future.
    • Diet: wellness360 includes a comprehensive diet management and journaling system enabling a member to easily employ and track his or her diet activities.
    • Fitness: Like diet, members may avail themselves of the wellness360 fitness service allowing easy tracking and planning of a member’s fitness activities and strategy. The results of diet and fitness are integrated providing members net calorie intake based on intake and exercise.
    • Emergency Medical Record: One of the most valuable features of wellness360 is the Emergency Medical Record (“EMR”). wellness360’s EMR is an on-demand abbreviated medical record made available to Emergency Rooms. The record can be accessed online or via the wellness360 Interactive Voice Response system from an ambulance via cell phone. Aperture Health has a validated database of every emergency room in the US. As such, only valid hospitals may receive the faxed report ensuring privacy.
    • Medical News and Research: One of the most sought after information on the Internet is medical and health information. wellness360 incorporates current news feeds, and one of the most comprehensive health databases available for its members benefit.
    • Paper Medical Records Storage: In addition to dynamic medical and health information, a member may store his or her paper documents free of charge. At anytime, a member may initiate a “Medical Records” request from wellness360 and enable their doctor to fax in the member’s records. Or, the records may be uploaded directly by the member. This feature is provided as a public service for everyone should keep their paper medical records in their possession.
    • Social Network: The social networking concept is certainly in vogue for 2008 and very likely beyond. The wellness360 social network strategy is more than just personal pages, it is designed to provide anonymous conduits to members with similar profiles – diet activity, fitness activities, medications, diseases, health risks, genetic propensities, etc.. With this unique mechanism for connectivity, members will be able to create an infinite number of possible channels specific to their unique needs.
More than an Internet business model: Aperture Health’s wellness360 strategy is more than an Internet model. Fundamentally, wellness360 is a distribution model as demonstrated by our very respectable list of insurance agencies and strategic partners that make wellness360 available to the business community and the general public. Of note is the growing list of hospitals throughout California (and growing nationally) that not only make wellness360 available to their employees but also to their patients. Most recently, Word & Brown, the largest general insurance agency in California with 20,000 independent agents, announced wellness360 as their wellness cornerstone for their agents and their new Benesaver™ benefits enhancement program.

Finally, yes, we are a public company listed on the OTCBB.  More importantly, we are fully reporting and compliant with a commitment to maximizing investor knowledge.  I encourage every member and potential investor in Aperture Health (OTCBB: APRE) to not just read our "10Ks" and "10Qs" but to become a member of wellness360.com.  In this complicated economy, one cannot be too informed.  As such, being an active member will provide the investor the best vantage point for understanding the value of Aperture Health's services.

Thank you again for your interest in Aperture Health and our wellness360 suite of services. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact cindy.wells@wellness360.com and my team will be happy to make your wellness360 experience enjoyable, effective and even profitable.

    Best Regards,
    Aperture Health, Inc. (OTCBB: APRE)

  •  OK, another year's gone by, anyone have any changes or "resolutions"? by: katlnhat

    1/6/2009 5:48:22 AM

Belated Happy New Years to you all,

I did what's normal for us, well... we both did, my  husband and I and never made it to see the ball dropping on TV. We don't go out and seem to always miss the thing - sometimes we don't make it till midnight as we fall asleep! :)

I stopped making New Year's resolutions a long time ago, as I didn't keep them. Waste of time for me. If I decide to stop doing something or start doing something, it's not usually around that holiday, so it's done then. Currently we're still finishing up with the rearranging of the apartment - you'd think living in two rooms there wouldn't be much, right? WRONG. (especially when you move things several different times anyways)

Personal things, we don't have much - but I do make soap and other things for two food pantrys, that have food but no personal care items, so I have the supplys here (sigh), and there's just no storage.

It'll get done, it's just driving me crazy that it's not already done.

My goals for this year (goals, not resolutions) are to finish this up, get curtains for the windows somehow and a few other home-type things. And continue with this site, some days it's a lifesaver and I've learned so much from the articles.

A bit of weight loss today.  I declutter and feel mentally much better.

Trying not to think about the negative person in my life (who left two nights ago and has not returned).  I'm trying to focus my attention to the person I used to be, prior to reacting to this behavior in a way it will harm my health.

I'm also writing out my goals for the year.  I did this last year and even though I did not complete every single item, it was fun to read it over see what I had accomplished.  I read it to the kids.

No weight loss, but I'm not stressed about that.  Stress on everyone in the house today for other reasons.  Got the kids outdoors for yard work.  Decluttering today also for mental relief.

  •  It's just another New Year by: kanskins

    1/3/2009 11:17:50 AM

There's no reason for a New Year to be special.  It's just another day.  It's just a different four-digit number when we're trying to locate 'today' in the span of 'any day.'  So it really doesn't make sense to feel like this is a new start, a do over, or a slate wiped clean.

But it feels that way anyway.

Last year I lost 40 pounds.  From my highest, over the summer, of 220, down to 180.  I tend to play yoyo with my weight so I was down to 180 something last spring, before I decided to self-destruct again and see how fat I could get.

Anyway I've lost 40 pounds last year.  And this year does feel like a fresh start.  Prior to now I haven't really been consciously trying to lose.  I just got tired of junk food, which happens occassionally.  Tired of eating.  And my job was pretty physical.  So the pounds fell away, as they are wont to do when I get busy and don't continuously binge eat.

180 is a historic baseline for me.  It's on my drivers license.  Most of high school was spent here.  Parts of college too, which I wasn't stuck up at 190.  Or binging myself higher.  So it really is like a reset.  It's a new year.  I quit my job.  I decided to start really trying to improve myself, lose weight and sizes and gain fitness, strength and endurance.  Become all the me I can be.  And all that.

I've never been an adult in the 170s.  Except for a couple of times I was fasting hard core but that was unhealthy so we'll ignore that.  Except that I did start to shrink.  I've been shrinking since 220 but only to sizes I'm comfortable at and have often been.  And shrinking fairly slowly because I'm still pretty overweight, even though I am 5'8" and have never actually thought 120 was a terribly good idea for me.  But the closer I get to my goal weight (right now I'm thinking 142, at least for an initial 'final goal') the faster my body should change, right?  The harder it will be to make progress, but the greater the dividends.

Onwards then, in a brand New Year, to unexplored territory and challenges unfaced.

  •  Alcohol Free Bubbly & Homestyle Buffet=^..^= by: Catwoman=^..^=

    1/2/2009 7:03:35 AM

    Dear Diary,

New Year's Eve at 6pm a small group of us met in the Resident's' Lounge and had some snacks and sodas and watched a a few movies. I left about 7:30 and told everyone that they'd be welcome to come to my place at 11:30 to watch the ball drop. So, at 11:30 a few friends came over and David (the tenant in charge of Movie Nights) brought the bubbly (kind of like alcohol free Champagne) and I brought out the plastic Champagne glasses. At 5 minutes till midnight I poured everyone a glass and we toasted each other and had some bubbly. Over 4 years ago I started a tradition in our building that on New Years Day we meet out in front of our building at 1pm and from there walk the 2 blocks to the trolley and take it to Hometown Buffet and have a lovely brunch and that's what we did this morning. It's a really nice way to start the New Year off. This morning there were 7 of us and we had a great time. Last year we had a very large turnout. About 13 people I think. Anyway, it was really a lovely time. Good food, good company and good conversation................ It doesn't get any better than that.
Mija is improving and hasn't vomited since being on the prescription food and I'm soooooo happy about that. I know that makes her happy too!
My spirits are pretty much up because of these past few days.
I still can't figure out what happened to Rachel. That has got me very worried. I hope she's alright and that eventually she'll be able to come back working for me.
Please pray that she's okay and that she will continue working for me.
    Purrs,
    Catwoman=^..^= & Mija

  •  New start for the new year I guess by: snapdragon10

    1/1/2009 8:55:59 AM

I'm weighing in today at my all time highest ever.  I'm not giving up, but will need to make drastic changes.  My lack of discipline is due to my reaction and how I handle living with a negative and controlling husband.
